Education Services

Education, Employment, and Training (EET). Reporting to the Deputy General Manager (CREETSS), Department director Heather Powell manages Higher Education Scholarships, Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID), a General Education Degree (GED) program, the STA Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO), career preparedness, and direct financial assistance programs. The EET coordinates cultural education programs with the Sitka School District, SNEP, Southeast Alaska Indian Cultural Center, and Southeast Alaska Career Center (SEACC, which houses the Boys and Girls Club).
